A twenty -two year old man in American Samoa is facing second degree murder in connection with the death of another man.
Manutafea "Manu" Kupu, died at the weekend in hospital after he was shot in the head during a drinking party.
According to court affidavits, the man charged claimed he was just showing his friend his gun, went it went off accidentally.
The defendant is being held in jail without bail and is due to make his initial appearance in district court this morning.
