Australia's Sonic Healthcare to buy Clinical Laboratories of Hawaii

The independent Australian owned public company, Sonic Healthcare, has agreed to buy Clinical Laboratories of Hawaii and its pathology practise for 121 million US dollars.

CLH is a medical laboratory provider with more than 70 locations statewide and employs more than 900 workers and has prospective annual sales of more than 110 million US dollars.

The Australian newspaper reports the settlement date is expected to be in September, subject to regulatory approvals.

Sonic owns pathology and radiology practices in Australia , New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland and the USA, and provides services for doctors in private medical practice and in private hospitals.
