Cook Islands parliamentarians visit Manukau

The Cook Islands parliamentary delegation has visited Manukau in South Auckland on its way back to Rarotonga.

The four members of the delegation are the Deputy Speaker of the House, Cassey Eggleton, Government whip, William Heather, the Leader of the House, Pastor John Tangi, and opposition Whip Albert Nicholas.

The delegation spent two days in parliament in Wellington to see how their respective jobs function in the New Zealand parliament.

The head of the delegation, Cassey Eggleton, says they visited a waste management facility during their brief stay in Manukau.

Also their water facilitation because Manukau City has given a lot of help to the government in preparing the infrastructure on the programme called Rarotonga Apopo.
