According to Fiji Live, the regime's spokesman, Major Neumi Leweni, says medical authorities want the girls to be in New Zealand immediately because the treatment is urgent.
He says the Government is helping to raise funds to assist the family.
A New Zealand Government official says the relevant ministers agreed to make the exemption.
