Papua New Guinea's forest minister Belden Namah has accused the media of acts of terrorism.
"The newspaper, The National, reports that Mr Namah has paraphrased a quote from US president George W. Bush by saying terrorists can run but cannot hide ."
The minister has described recent newspaper reports alleging a split and infighting among ministers as an "act of media terrorism" against a legitimate government.
Mr Namah warns that his intelligence agents could track down media figures responsible for reports about the government which he describes as misleading.
He has singled out the Post-Courier newspaper, saying it is reporting without questioning sources which are often unreliable and have an agenda to destabilise the Government.
