The Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas' Department of Corrections has finally moved all inmates to a new in Susupe.

But the department DOC now faces a manpower shortage.

DOC Commissioner Lino S. Tenorio says they were able to transfer all 131 inmates to the new prison on July 10.

He says Corrections officers recently resigned and two other members of the U.S. Army Reserve were deployed to Iraq and for training in Guam.

Mr Tenorio says DOC currently employs 85 to 87 Corrections officers, and to effectively run the department, 25 more are required.
