Health officials warn that dengue on the rise in Samoa

The Samoa Ministry of Health has issued a warning about a possible dengue fever outbreak in the country.

The Samoa Observer reports the Ministry has called on members of the public and visitors to take special care amid an increase in the numbers diagnosed with dengue fever.

There have been six confirmed cases since the beginning of June.

According to the notice the number of cases will increase markedly, especially with neighboring island countries also experiencing more cases of dengue.
