Pacific Arts Festival in American Samoa in full swing

The 10th Festival of Pacific Arts is now in full swing, with tattoo artists and carvers amongst the first to show at the festival village.

Leilani Momoisea reports from Utulei beach in American Samoa.

"The Festival Village was officially opened at ten this morning with the Samoa tatou artists immediately drawing crowds. Arts and crafts are available around the Village with bags and necklaces from Solomon Islands proving popular. Carving from Palau and Maori tattooing or ta moko are also underway. Performances by the Cook Islands, Tahiti, Samoa, Papua New Guinea and American Samoa are being enjoyed on Utulei Beach. The festivities will continue throughout the night."
