Korean airlines to fly to Palau

Korean Airlines and Asiana Airlines will be flying to Palau after an air service

agreement was reached between Palau and the two airlines in Seoul.

A Palau delegation to Seoul concluded a second round of negotiations with the Korean airlines.

The agreement allows for up to seven passenger flights and four cargo flights per week.

The Palau Horizon quotes a statement from the Palau President's office that two Korean carriers will be flying the route.

Minister of Commerce and Trade Otoichi Besebes, said Palau considers the air service agreement with the Korean airlines an extremely positive development .

He says it lays the groundwork for creating a new international gateway for travelers to Palau and Palauans travelling abroad.
