A police traffic officer in Samoa has been charged with negligent driving

causing injuries to a young woman currently admitted at the national

hospital for a medical surgery after her car was struck by a police vehicle.

The woman who was driving her own car at the time of the accident has alleged the police vehicle was speeding.

The assistant police commissioner and spokesman, Papalii Li'o, says the

traffic officer has been suspended and will appear in court next week.

Meanwhile the police constable who was investigated for alleged sexual

harassment involving a 17 year old girl has been dismissed from the force.
