Samoa's Prime Minister, Tuila'epa Sa'ilele Malielegaoi, is to meet China's Premier, Wen Jiabao, for further discussions on aid.

The acting prime minister, Misa Telefoni, has told parliament the talks will focus on assistance for the reconstruction of the Tupua Tamasese Mea'ole hospital and to improve public health service.

Misa Telefoni has himself just returned from China after the Pacific Island countries Economic Development and Cooperation Forum, in Xiamen.

He says China is a genuine friend of Samoa and praised a relationship that has gone from strength to strength over the past 33 years.
