Nine-hundred and sixty-six people in Fiji are now infected with the dengue fever virus.
The Fijitimes quotes the acting Health Ministry permanent secretary, Timaima Tuiketei, as saying the majority of cases are in the Central Division.
Dr Timaima says they expect more people to fall ill as more wet weather is expected.
