Samoa's Minister of Justice and Courts administration, Unasa Mesi Galo, has
been requested by a New Zealand based Samoan lawyer, Leulua'ialii Olinda
Woodroffe, to withdraw two charges of insulting words laid against her by the police as a result of a complaint by his ministry.
The lawyer's case was heard in court this week.
However it has been adjourned until police serve the defendant with a court summons.
Meanwhile the New Zealand based Samoan lawyer has informed the Attorney
General, Aumua Ming Leung Wai, of her intention to file a legal action against the police for unlawfully trespassing on her property and violation of her rights.
