Fiji's interim foreign minister, Ratu Epeli Nailatikau, has been reassigned to become the interim minister for Indigenous Affairs.
He will also be the chairman of the Great Council of Chiefs under the new regulations governing the GCC.
Fiji TV reports that the Interim PM has taken over the Foreign Affairs portfolio.
Ratu Epeli has already taken up the new portfolio, but it is unclear when he will formally take over as head of the Great Council of Chiefs.
