Thousands of pensioners in Samoa were not paid their monthly pension today after thousands of dollars went missing from the Samoa National Provident Fund or SNPF last night.
A senior officer for the SNPF says police are investigating the missing money, just under 100 thousand US dollars, and one person has been taken in for questioning.
Five districts on the main island Upolu has been affected but all districts on Savaii Island will get their payments this week.
