Pacific rugby team appoints Saracens halfback as captain

The newly appointed Pacific Islands rugby union captain Mosese Rauluni believes he has a big job heading into their first test against England at Twickenham this weekend.

The Pacific Islands team is made up of the best players from Fiji, Tonga and Samoa.

The Saracens halfback, who plays his club rugby in England, captained Fiji to the quarter finals of the last year's world cup in France says he knows the task ahead is huge.

"It's a great honour to be selected captain for just Fiji, but to be selected for the Pacific Islands is even greater, so I have the responsibility with Fiji with just Fijians now I have the responsibility for three nations."

The Pacific Islands European tour includes games against France and Italy.
