Sir Arnold Amet, who was ousted as the Governor of Madang in Papua New Guinea by a decision in the Court of Disputed Returns, is to pursue his legal battle in a full Supreme Court.
The acting Chief Justice, Sir Salamo Injia, sitting alone, last Friday granted him leave to take his matter to a full Supreme Court for a review.
This came about after the successful petitioner, Madang businessman Peter Yama, had made an application to set aside an exparte order taken out by Sir Arnold Amet.
Mr Yama has indicated he will look at appealing Sir Salomo's decision.
