Niue consumers are facing increased power charges due to rising costs of diesel at the island's generating plant.
Business operators already facing huge increases in shipping freight rates, are unhappy at the thirty five percent electricity price increases and have asked government to review charges.
The monthly supply charge has increased three hundred percent.
The Niue Power Corporation says the new rates will be reviewed in April next year.
