American Samoa's Governor Togiola Tulafono has instructed directors and agency heads that they are to remain on island during the transition review.

The governor says that all cabinet members are required to remain in the territory from the period beginning December the 1st to December the 12th or the transition review.

In a memo he stated that any travel plans for this period shall not be approved.

Togiola directed that individuals affected may make all arrangements for subordinates to attend meetings, conferences and training on their behalf.

Though the new administration will be a continuation of the Togiola-Faoa government the governor has decided to name a transition team to review government operations, program and services and recommend possible candidates for director positions.
