The Samoa government is expected to endorse a number of recommendations from a government selected committee to ease the financial struggles of Yazaki Samoa.
A cabinet meeting is scheduled today is discuss the problems facing the country's biggest private employer.
The company and the select committee met with the acting Prime Minister, Misa Telefoni, over the matter recently where they agreed to the recommended government assistance.
However the acting prime minister did not say what the recommendations are.
Meanwhile, local media reports say Yazaki Samoa, in their appeal for help, had also asked for at least 5 million US dollars from the government in financial assistance.
The money according to the report was spent by the company on the construction of the complex at Vaitele industrial zone based on a deal between Yazaki Samoa and the government.
