Vanuatu man convicted of murdering Australian woman gets 19 years in prison

The Vanuatu man convicted of murdering elderly Australian woman, Lindall Jacques, on Efate at the beginning of the year, has been sentenced to 19 years imprisonment.

The Daily Post report that Jacky Saul faced four different charges of theft, unlawful entry, sexual intercourse without consent, and premeditated intentional homicide.

Saul escaped from the main Port Vila prison facility at least twice during the year and was recaptured by police with community help.
