Two Tuvaluan youths are dead on Niue after a car they were driving ran off the road at the south-west end of the island making it the worst road accident on Niue in about 15 years.
The pair were not wearing seat belts and there are indications speed and alochol were involved in the incident at the weekend.
A third youth is in the Niue Hospital and is believed to be in a satisfactory condition.
He was a back seat passenger in the car and was wearing a seatbelt.
The dead youths are from families from Tuvalu who migrated to Niue several years ago.
