The head of the RAMSI police force says internal corruption is a concern within the Solomon Islands Police Force.
Commander Denis McDermott says corruption will come under renewed focus in the new year.
He says that is one area he has concerns about and that can include, wrong practices and misuse of practices within law and order.
"We will focus on that with the Executive it has been mentioned and discussed. But we need to look at ways to target that. And if we identify police officers who are not compiling with the law then they need to look for another job because they are in the wrong one."
The Solomon Islands Police Force has in the past struggled to deal with internal corruption with little success.
