Right hand drive vehicle imports continue to increase in Samoa

More than a thousand right hand drive vehicles have been imported into Samoa this year,.

Samoa is to formally switch to driving on the left hand side in the middle of next year.

A statement from the Government says between February and the beginning of December, 1,195 cars were brought into the country.

Its says the number of right hand drive vehicles being imported into the country is still increasing, and the most rapid increase have been since July.

The most common vehicle type being imported are saloons made between 1998 - 2001.
