Solomon Islands is expecting to strengthen its tourism industry in 2009 with a significant boost in tourist arrivals on vessels.
The Destination Solomon's Travel & Tours Limited confirmed to Solomon Times a number of tourist vessels would pass through the Solomon's this year.
The executive Secretary and tour consultant Christina Setiano, told the Solomon Times that eight tourist boats confirmed they would travel to Solomon Islands.
Vessel visits start this month, with 'Spirit of Oceanus' currently in Arnavon Island/Kia, Isabel Province and expected to be in the capital city today.
