French Polynesia is to get digital television next year.
Tahitipresse reports that details will be announced in the coming weeks but says the first batch of channels for France's overseas possessions will include ten channels.
They are the public service broadcasters as well as the channels carrying parliament.
The phased roll-out is expected to see the launch of a second set of channels in 2011.
