American Samoa fans of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Arizona Cardinals will stay glued to the television today to catch the Super Bowl 43 play by play in Tampa Florida this afternoon.

There are seven players from the Pacific in the two teams.

American Samoan Troy Polamalu of the Pitsburgh Steelers is the most well known, he's joined by Tongan Chris Kemoeatu.

In the Arizona Cardinals is Samoan Pago Togafau, Tongan Deuce Lutui and Hawaiians Aaron Francisco and Travis Laboy.

Meanwhile, Polamalu's mother Susana who is in Tampa Florida for the big game, says she's overwhelmed.

She says while Polamalu whose playing in his second super bowl was raised in America he always carries the Samoan name with him.

"No matter where he's at you know we keep teasing him that he's not Samoan, but no he says I am I'm pure Samoan I'm from To'o Manua"
