More heavy rain expected in Fiji's Viti Levu

There is little relief in sight for Fiji as heavy rain continues to lash parts of the country.

While authorities tackle last month's flood damage in the Western Division of Viti Levu a forecaster at the Metservice, Angeline Prasad, predicts flooding for the south this week.

"Flooding, we got a northerly flow over the country, so I put my bets on the southern parts of the main island, so basically Navua, Suva and Nausori, there is a small chance low lying areas in these areas may get flooding."

Angeline Prasad says rain a trough of low pressure to the west is expected to bring rain to the whole country over the next few days.
