Police in Samoa have arrested ten people and charged them with stone throwing, grievous bodily harm, and willful damage after a big brawl outside a night club in Apia.

The police say they believe the brawl was the result of a Hip Hop dance competition two weeks ago run by a local television station.

The police spokesperson, Papalii Li'o, says one man has been admitted to hospital with a serious injury.

More people are expected to be arrested as investigations continue.
