Call centre managing director visits American Samoa

A key player in the call centre company, Information Technology American Samoa, is currently visiting the territory.

Managing director, Tim Montgomery, and will be in charge of attracting clients to a new call centre to be set up in American Samoa and developing personnel to staff the business.

This comes as InfoTech awaits American Samoa's connection to the undersea fibre optical cable.

Governor Togiola Tulafono has said the cable should be in service by June this year.

Mr Montgomery says he looks forward to meeting government and business officials and the young people who are potential employees during his visit.

"We will be responsible for bringing the US based clients to the call centre, we will also be overseeing all of the technology and infrastructure from the US and one of the things that we will be doing is setting up US based call centres that will be partnering with the American Samoan call centre."
