Polynesian Airlines hopes to resume a domestic service once Fagalii Airport on Upolu island in Samoa is reopened.

The airline discontinued the service several years ago and Fagalii airport closed down in 2005 after being deemed unsafe.

But the airline's chief executive, Taua Fatu Tielu, told the Newsline newspaper Poly should be able to start flying to Maota and Asau airports in Savaii once Fagalii is operational midyear.
