Samoan lawyer files papers to lift name suppression for cop facing sex charges

An application by a state lawyer in Samoa to lift the name suppression of a senior police officer facing sex charges has been filed in the district court.

The defendant is facing several charges and is expected to enter a plea next Monday.

The senior officer is on bail, but has been required to surrender his passport.
