ANZ Amerika Samoa Bank aims to increase the use of electronic banking services such as EFTPOS machines and ATM's.

The Bank's President, David Whitby, says the EFTPOS machines are not getting maximum use and the bank needs to work with merchants where the machines are installed to change that.

He says not too many EFTPOS devices are being used to get cash in addition to pay for people's shopping.

At present ANZ has about 80 EFTPOS machines operating and Mr Whitby wants that increased to 100 in the coming months.

The bank also intends to get more customers using ATM's and is planning to upgrade software for its electronic banking.
