Court in Samoa lifts name suppression of senior police officer facing sex charges

The District Court in Samoa has lifted the name suppression order of a senior police officer charged with five counts of indecent assault and one of sodomy.

The court's decision follows an application by the prosecution to lift the name suppression on Monday.

Police Inspector Fineaso Aima'asu has entered a not guilty plea to all charges and his trial is set to begin on June 24th.

Five police witnesses will be called to testify against the senior police officer.
