The Association of Manufacturers and Exporters in Samoa is urging locals to support the campaign, "Buy Samoan made".

This comes as the country's economy suffered its worst blow in sales last month.

A survey by Samoa's Chamber of Commerce reveals sales had fallen more than 50 percent last month.

Its president Sina Retzlaff-Lima told Samoa observer that traditionally sales are down in Febuary, but she says last month was worse than usual.
