New claims of administrative processes abuse and misappropriation have been levelled against the Papua New Guinea National AIDS Council.

The AIDS council had already been accused of massive corruption and mismanagement .

The council's new chair, Sir Peter Barter, said earlier they were internally investigating the issue and he has written to the ministry of finance and other bodies to ask for help.

The Post Courier reports that the Ombudsman Commission and the Public Accounts Committee have received explanations for some of the expenditure items, but are still mystified over some payments.
