American Samoa's quarter scheduled for release in July

American Samoa's 25 cent quarter coin is scheduled for release in July.

The coin's release is based on federal law enacted in December 2007, that creates the District of Columbia and U.S. Territories Quarters Program.

Initially, the U.S. Territories were left out when Congress passed the Commemorative Coin Program Act in 1997, which authorized a ten year program to honor the states by minting 25 cent coins to commemorate each of the 50 states.

The 25 cent quarter coin will be released in American Samoa on the 27th of July.
