The Northern Marianas Amateur Athletics Association is getting ready to host their first ever Oceania Basketball tournament in June.
The President, Michael White, says at the moment they're refurbishing the gym to meet international standards and arranging accommodation for the teams which include New Zealand and Australia.
White says holding the Oceania tournament has the public excited.
"It certainly does everybody here is excited about seeing a high level competition from Australia and New Zealand in particular but again even the island countries from across the Pacific are names that we've heard over the years that we've competed with in foreign countries in the pacific and games and other basketball tournaments and we're just excited to have everyone coming here."
