The coach of the Manu Samoa sevens team, Galumalemana Rudolf Moors, has got the boot and replaced by a former sevens coach, Lilomaiava Taufusi Salesa, who will be leading the national team in the remaining legs of the annual IRB sevens tournament.
There are no reasons given for the replacement but rugby sources say the performance of the team in recent IRB legs was the key factor in the mother union's decision.
The former coach according to sources has been assigned to assist in the preparations for the Pacific Cup tournament which will start this week. Ends
