Palau's tourism officials say they recorded an 11.86 percent drop in visitor numbers for March compared to the March 2008 tourist figures.
According to the Palau Visitors Authority last month, 7,148 tourists visited Palau while 7,500 visited during the same period last year.
Japan provided the most visitors, with 2,938, followed by Taiwan with 1, 423, and South Korea, 1,131.
