A 62 year old former church minister of the Congregational Christian Church in Samoa, Lealofi Oto, has been jailed for 12 months after being found guilty of indecent assault.
The defence lawyer had asked the court for leniency and to consider a probation sentence for the former church minister who committed the offence while serving at Sa'anapu uta parish.
The victim was a seventeen year old girl.
