The 2009 Session of the Tonga Legislative Assembly will be officially opened by King George Tupou on the 28th of this month.
The Chief Clerk of the House, Viliami Latu, told Matangi Tonga online that the opening ceremony will be held at the Parliament House in central Nuku'alofa, but the program has not been finalised
Traditionally, the opening ceremony is marked by the marching of Tongatapu high school students through central Nuku'alofa and the Palace grounds.
