7:50 am on 1 June 2009

Children in Samoa have a chance to win a trip to Wellington to meet the Hurricanes rugby team next season.

The essay competition is being run by the British High Commission to Samoa.

The prize was announced by the High Commissioner, George Fergusson, at a school in Apia during an official visit to Samoa.

Details of the essay competition will be on the High Commission's educational website in early September.

The website has been designed specifically to assist Pacific Island school students to learn more about the UK.

To win, children will have to write an essay about becoming a sports-star and saving their side by scoring the winning points in the dying seconds of a game.
