Frank Kabui the new Governor General in Solomon Islands

The Solomon Islands Parliament has elected former High Court judge, Frank Kabui, as the country's new Governor General.
He is the sixth Governor General and replaces Sir Nathaniel Waena.
In the fourth round of voting Mr Kabui garnered 30 of the 45 votes cast, compared with eight for the chairman of the Public Service Commission, Edmund Andresen, and seven for Sir Nathaniel.
Mr Kabui will be sworn in as Head of State on July the 7th.
