Cook Islands confirms first case of swine flu

The Cook Islands Ministry of Health says it has confirmed its first case of swine flu.

The case is a Cook Islander who has lived in New Zealand for the last three months.

The passenger arrived in Rarotonga on the 27th June.

The Ministry has contacted passengers seated two rows ahead and behind the patient and given information.

It says that follow up for the patient's family members and home quarantine measures have been undertaken.
