Polynesian Airlines in Samoa has advised local travelers from Apia to be aware of entry requirements into American Samoa.
The message comes after the re-opening of Apia's Fagalii airport for inter-Samoan flights.
In a public notice, the airline says it will not carry passengers without the original entry permit from the immigration division of American Samoa's Attorney general Office.
It says faxed copies will no longer be accepted.
Travellers, who need entry permits, have now been advised to apply for an entry permit in advance and to make sure the original permits are presented
together with other travel documents.
