Fiji has new interim Foreign Affairs Minister

Ratu Inoke Kubuabola is Fiji's new interim Foreign Affairs Minister.

Fiji's interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama confirmed his appointment to FijiLive.

Currently Fiji's ambassador to Japan, Ratu Inoke also served as High Commissioner to Papua New Guinea from 2002 to 2005.

He is brother to former Reserve Bank governor Ratu Jone Kubuabola who was also Finance Minister in the ousted SDL government of 2006.

Commodore Bainimarama, who currently holds the Foreign Affairs portfolio, said Ratu Inoke will be sworn in next week.
