American Samoa Visitors Bureau has a new Executive Director

The Board of Directors of the American Samoa Visitors Bureau, has announced the appointment of David Vaeafe as the first Executive Director of the bureau.

The interim chairman of the board Roy Hall Jr said Mr Vaeafe brings a wealth of media and tourism experience to the Executive Director's role for the newly established American Samoa Visitors Bureau.

David Vaeafe's media background spans over 25 years as a journalist and editor working for national, community and business newspapers, magazines and travel trade publications in New Zealand and the Pacific.

He joined the Samoa Tourism Authority or formerly the Samoa Visitors Bureau in 1996, establishing their Auckland, New Zealand office and running it for eight years.
