A new webpage mapping swine flu in the Pacific region has been launched.

The Pacific Public Health Surveillance Network's website now lists all swine flu cases in 16 nations in the region according to World Health Organisation data.

It lists two swine-flu related deaths, one in Tonga and another one in Guam, and a total of 347 confirmed cases of the H1N1 flu in the region so far, excluding New Zealand, Australia and Hawaii.

The World Health Organisation says the average age of people affected appears to be increasing, which could mean that the virus is moving from school-based outbreaks into the community.
