Kubuabola sworn in as new interim Fiji Foreign Affairs minister

Fiji's acting president has sworn in Ratu Inoke Kubuabola as new interim foreign affairs minister.

Fijivillage reports Ratu Inoke will also hold the International Co-Operation and Civil Aviation portfolios.

Ratu Inoke was Fiji's Ambassador to Japan before he returned to the country last week to take up the ministerial posts.

He served as opposition leader in 1999 and 2000, and was the leader of the SVT political party following its defeat in the 1999 election.

Ratu Inoke is taking up the foreign affairs portofolio from the interim prime minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama.
